Event Details

As part of our partnership with the National Register of Health Service Psychologists, we are pleased to offer Florida Psychological Association members and affiliates discounted access to the upcoming webinar Assessment and Treatment Considerations for Youth With Atypical Anorexia Nervosa.

Family Based Treatment (FBT) is considered to be the first-line treatment for youth diagnosed with restrictive eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa given considerable research evidence. FBT is also commonly employed among patients with atypical anorexia nervosa given overlap in symptoms and severity. Dr. Kramer will discuss potential modifications of FBT and important clinical considerations for providing FBT to youth with atypical anorexia nervosa with a lens on reducing weight stigma/bias, improving detection of eating disorder symptomology, and enhancing care coordination.
