- Articulate at least 3 similarities and 3 differences between ACT and other therapeutic approaches.
- Name the six core processes of ACT.
Course Description
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is an evidenced-based third-wave cognitive behavioral therapy with philosophical and theoretical underpinnings that differ from other psychotherapeutic orientations. This 2-day workshop will provide an overview of these differences, and introduce participants to the core principles of ACT. Participants will engage in interactive and experiential practices to build the foundational skills necessary to practice ACT with clients.
Approved for 14 hours of general continuing education credits

Refunds are available under the following conditions:
Cancellation 14 days or more before the workshop: Full refund (minus a $25 processing fee).
Cancellation between 7 and 14 days before the workshop: 50% refund.
Cancellation less than 7 days before the workshop: No refund available.
Transfer Policy: If participant is unable to attend, participant may transfer registration to another individual.
Workshop Cancellation: In the unlikely event that we need to cancel the workshop, participant will receive a full refund. We will notify participant via email as soon as possible.
