Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to:

  1. Describe how stages of change, values identification and motivational interviewing can be used to move from thinking about change, to making a plan, and then taking action for tween and teen clients
  2. Discuss how tolerance of uncertainty and discomfort can be utilized to facilitate taking action.
  3. Participants will identify two techniques to use with tween and teen clients to increase and maintain motivation.

Approved for 1 hours of general continuing education credits
